Boerne Reads

boernereadslogoblue

A program to make literacy available to all Kendall County residents.

Finding a good book is all it takes to spark a love of reading.  If you don’t have access to books, you may never discover how enjoyable and important reading can be.  Through books this program demonstrates the importance of literacy skills and provides information about the services offered at the library; services that can change lives.  We concentrate our focus on children living in poverty with the help of partnership organizations.

Your donation will make it possible to:

  • Fill the shelves of community libraries with books that encourage reading
  • Provide information on the programs and services available at the library
  • Give each person a book that they can keep
  • Fund additional Early Literacy Stations at the library
  • Implement  community wide programs that  teaches reading to all ages
  • Put books in backpacks several times a year

You can help us demonstrate that literacy, learning and libraries are gifts that no one can take away.  If you would like to become a volunteer with Boerne Reads send an e-mail to info@boernelibraryfoundation.org for information on how you can get started!
